3. Most recent dream

I’ve been having horrible dreams lately, so I drew this one. I had a dream that my finch Eugene escaped & I ended up chasing it around the garden but it flew over the wall & I never got it back. My uncle was standing at the end of the path & bent down to pick something up & said, ‘Its here look’. So I took the bird from him & went back into the house, but when I opened the cage to put him back in I realised it was really a rat & dropped it on the floor. It’s not actually a nice dream reading it back, I would be proper upset if I lost Eugene ha.

Anyway, I drew this as if Audrey (my other finch) had decided to raise Hunter (her baby) with the rat, seen as Eugene had disappeared.

I’m going to stop writing long blog posts, I always feel as if i’m talking to myself.

The Zebra Finch is a colorful little finch native to Australia and Indonesia, although it has been introduced to the Americas. They are often kept as pets, as they are considered to be one of the easiest finch species to start with. Like the American Goldfinch yesterday, these finches are also sexually distinguished by color.
